We worked with Mark starting Fall 2020 and purchased our dream home in Southampton in July 2021 despite the havoc that Covid brought to the LI second home market. Having worked with many brokers in NYC and earlier searches in the Hamptons, we found the perfect fit in Mark! A deep understanding of the area and the pros and cons of certain locations, new build versus existing build and most notably what would “not” be a fit for a client are in my mind, table stakes. Mark went above and beyond what I expected from a broker – he took the time to listen to what we were saying, tweaked the types of properties we wanted to see and didn’t give up till we found the perfect fit. Our purchase was competing with Mark’s time/attention for significantly pricier listings, but we felt like he gave us ample time and attention. We had a list of escrow/post-closing items that needed a trained eye to weight in on, and Mark was ever present (even a year post purchase) advising us on items that frankly, most brokers would just move on from after the initial purchase/sale is done. I went from thinking “I can use StreetEasy/Zillow, who needs a broker” to eventually realizing that having an experienced broker pays for itself many times over – this is not a cookie cutter NYC apartment, so don’t go it alone! On a scale of demanding, discerning buyers I would like to think we are a 10 and Mark was with us every step of the journey.
